This program of Mission Hospital blends in-person and virtual attendance and is open to any resident of North Carolina. Mental Health Intensive Outpatient Program (MH-IOP) Most participants' depression and anxiety symptoms go into remission, and then they return to their primary care clinician for maintenance treatment. Therapy sessions utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) skills training to help adults who experience frequently recurring symptoms of their depression or anxiety disorder. Participants will attend once-weekly individual and group therapy sessions along with psychiatric consultation for medication management. The Depression and Anxiety Clinic is our least-intensive outpatient program taking place over an 8-12-week period after which care transfers back to the referring community-based provider. This is a completely virtual program of Mission Hospital McDowell and is open to any resident of North Carolina.
